For citizens of the Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and 83 other countries, a visa on arrival VOA or other multiple or single entry visa is required.

Citizens of Brunei, the Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, East Timor and Vietnam can enter Indonesia without a visa for tourism purposes for up to 30 days.

Citizens of Afghanistan, Israel, North Korea, Liberia, Nigeria and Somalia must obtain a visa before arriving in Indonesia.

To register a company, you need to provide foreign passports of all founders. If you plan to open a company remotely, you will need powers of attorney signed electronically.

As of June 9, 2023, proof of vaccination is no longer required to travel to Indonesia. The government has lifted this entry requirement. However, it is recommended to be fully vaccinated, especially for those at risk of contracting COVID-19.

It is also worth remembering that the Indonesian authorities may change this rule in the future, so it is important to stay up to date before traveling.

The fine for one day of overstaying a visa is IDR 1 000 000. You are allowed to stay up to 60 days beyond the deadline without deportation fines. Overstaying for more than 60 days is considered a crime and can be punished with a prison term of up to 5 years and a fine of up to IDR 500 million.
