The E33G Visa (also known as the Digital Nomad Visa or Remote Worker Visa) allows digital nomads and remote workers to legally stay and work from Indonesia, including the famous island of Bali.
Once you enter the country with this visa, you’ll need to apply for a KITAS (Kartu Izin Tinggal Terbatas)—a temporary residence permit that lasts one year.

Key Features of the E33G Visa

What Can You Do with the E33G Visa?

  • Live with your family (if they meet the eligibility criteria).

  • Obtain an Indonesian tax number (NPWP) (becomes mandatory after 183 days of stay, making you a tax resident).
What Can’t You Do?
🚫 The E33G Visa DOES NOT allow you to:
  • Stay in Indonesia after your visa expires.
  • Sell goods or services inside Indonesia.
  • Get paid by Indonesian companies or individuals.
  • Be officially employed by an Indonesian business.
⚠️ Important Notice!
If you plan to work for an Indonesian company, you’ll need a work KITAS instead. Breaking visa rules can result in fines, deportation, or legal trouble. Any business activity that involves earning money from local clients is strictly forbidden
