Family visa Indonesia
Family visa Indonesia is designed for foreign nationals who want to live with their spouse or family in the country. This visa, also known as a spouse or dependent KITAS, is issued for 1 year and can be renewed. It is available to foreigners married to Indonesian citizens or to family members of KITAS holders. While the Family visa Indonesia does not allow formal employment, it provides the right to reside legally, study, and enjoy life in Bali or anywhere else in Indonesia together with loved ones.
Who Can Apply for Family KITAS?
The Family KITAS is available to foreigners who have direct family ties in Indonesia. Eligible applicants include the spouse and children of a foreigner holding a valid KITAS, as well as the foreign spouse of an Indonesian citizen. For example, if an investor has an E28A Investor KITAS, their husband, wife, or children can apply for a Family KITAS to stay together in Bali. This permit is usually issued for 1–2 years and can be renewed. While it does not allow formal employment, it ensures families can live together legally and enjoy daily life in Indonesia.
How to Get Family Bali KITAS?
The process of obtaining the Family Bali KITAS through an agency is straightforward. If you are already in Indonesia on a tourist visa, it can be converted into a Family KITAS without leaving the country. Or, you can complete the application in advance and have the permit ready before arriving in Bali. The agency manages the submission, tracks the progress with immigration, and updates you at every stage. Within 7–14 business days or express 3 days, the Family Bali KITAS is issued, allowing you and your loved ones to stay legally together in Indonesia.
