Questions?

Does my Visa on Arrival reset if I leave Indonesia?

Once you exit Indonesia, VOA becomes invalid, and you cannot use it to re‑enter. If you wish to return, you must apply for a new visa before traveling again.

Can I convert VOA to a different visa?

Visa on Arrival can be converted into a KITAS by using a bridging visa. The bridging visa is valid for 60 days, during which time you must complete the KITAS application process. This procedure can be done entirely within Indonesia, without the need to leave the country.

Can I get new Visa on Arrival if I am already in Bali?

You cannot obtain a new Visa on Arrival while staying in Bali. The visa can only be extended once for an additional 30 days. After that, you must leave Indonesia.

Can I work remotely with VOA if I’m a remote worker?

Yes. The VOA allows you to work online for a company or clients based outside Indonesia while staying in the country. However, it does not permit you to take employment or earn income from an Indonesian company. This visa is intended for pre‑investment activities, business research, and remote work for foreign employers.

Can children apply for VOA?

Yes. Children can apply for VOA. Visa on Arrival for children follows the same validity period and extension rules as for adults.
